I believe historybuff already went through that, and personally I agree with him. Without conclusive evidence to support the story, it is not more credible than saying the Greeks had the first aeroplane, flown by Icarus.

No. That isn't true. Alberto Santos-Dumont made his first powered flight 3 years after the wright brothers.

It can't be proven that he did this. There were witnesses that said he did but accounts disagree on how long and high it flew. The propulsion method supposedly used is being studied today and they can't really make it work. The odds he got the technology to work is limited in my opinion. without any tangible evidence one way or the other I'd have to disagree.
