I disagree. Although a unified Africa would be able to better facilitate commerce, enforce individual rights, and defend itself with less resources, it is the most ethnically diverse continent, with a myriad of religions and values. I do think that an economically unified Africa is an important goal, not just for quality of life but also sovereignty of the nation as we see China rapidly encroaching on the resource and labor rich continent
That is kind of like saying Asia should become a country. It doesn't really make any sense. Africa is populated by people of many different ethnicities, religions and cultures. You may see them as all being the same, they see it very differently. Foreigners deciding on the borders of their countries is a large part of the problems Africa has had since decolonization.
