Haha it would be a hard sell to get a live look at the publication and acceptance of a piece in a journal.

"for other scientists"?
you said all

we already have plenty of charismatic scientists to spread the word to simpler folk. the mythbusters, Neil degrass, random scientists often features in documentaries... but no. not all. no where near all. we don't even know if it's them devising the experiments or engineers/ scientists behind the scenes which would complete disqualify them as scientists.

TV is very fake and I'm always shocked how many people fail to realize that.

for other scientist yeah u don't want to but the public aren't scientist. if u were presenting an idea to regular Joe's then they would be better than average scientist.

many of them do have that energy and fervor. but if they tried to explain their work to you (or most people) you would have no idea what they're talking about.

actors like myth busters dumb down science into entertaining, bite sized chunks. while there isn't anything wrong with that, it is certainly not desirable for real scientists to emulate.

as I said it helps the people understand them. I meant more personality wise or acting wise if fake. why can't he be awesome and be good at his job? does becoming a better scientist make u more boring? i didn't read that in the job description.haha

I think they should keep that energy and fervor in whatever they do.

well Einstein said u will have to go faster than the speed of light. which he also said was impossible.

wtf does awesome and not boring have to do with doing science? do you want your doctors to be awesome and not boring? or good at f***ing medicine?!? These people are entertainers first. that's why they seem fun, it's their job. and often enough, that fun personality is an act. they can very likely be dead serious in real life, and completely unfun without their writing team.

and do you really want every scientist to concentrate entirely on testing old theories and do no new research?!!! testing old research is undervalued, but that's fine for 3rd rate scientists. our brightest minds should be moving us forward.
