Why are they "stupid lazy people"? Aren't you just inventing personas to attack because you don't have a good argument against it? He clearly says you have to be qualified, you have to be able, and you have to have a desire to go to college. When pressed on the issue, he has stated that passing classes is a condition of college being free. So you wouldn't be paying for people to simply flunk through college. You'd be paying for people to get an education. Furthermore, it's in your own self interest.
-currently, each year of college yields a 7% return on investment. This means that a 4 year degree yields about 28% return on investment on average. This equates to higher taxable income, which is good for the economy. It is also true that incomes tend to go up naturally for uneducated people in areas where more highly educated people live, which is also good for the economy.

He draws a line between needy people and lazy people. He says you shouldn't live in poverty if you work 40 hours per week. He isn't saying that no one should live in poverty. I don't know if you've seen the welfare of Walmart, but it would actually save tax pairs a ton of money to raise the minimum wage. Walmart has over $6 billion in profit annually, and we subsidize this profit by paying full time Walmart employees over $1.6 billion in welfare benefits. The company is choosing to let government take the hit for it not paying people a livable wage...

that label right there speaks volumes about you. the "working poor". you accept that there are hard working people in poverty. you find that acceptable that someone can work hard and still barely be able to feed their family while a billionaire sits in his office collecting billions subsidized by the American people. look at the amount of subsidies the government gives oil companies and weapons manufacturers. that money goes right into the pockets of millionaires and comes out of the pockets of those " working poor".

He wants people like me to pay for stupid lazy people to go to college. he draws no line between needy poor people and lazy people. if I want I can donate to charity to help the working poor.

If you wanna contribute, you should probably at least give this a quick read.... It's not that hard to figure out what bernie sanders stands for. If we're going to have a debate about bernie sanders, then let's have a debate on bernie sanders. This whole bickering over labels and what the label stands for are all just stupid strawman arguments because it has nothing to do with what bernie sanders stands for.

Where exactly do you take issue with him?

Alex, democratic socialists aren't communists. You either have no idea what bernie sanders actually stands for, or you know and are purposefully misrepresenting his views. By extension we should either ignore anything you say on the subjects because you don't know anything about it, or we should ignore you because you're dishonest or at least intellectually disingenuous....

No, those who work hard get enough money to survive rather than those who are born privileged do nothing and collect billions.
