anonymous, this was for the purpose of war. of course they would need to be militarily advanced in order to succeed at their conquests. they hadn't done much until they invented the gas for the gas chambers because they wouldn't have been as effective. as well, Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" shows everything that would happen in an anti intellectual world, which does end up in totalitarianism.

The Nazi's were technologically superior and in fact had invented the first jets towards the end of the war. And was also home to many a genius and wanted smarter people.

Each path has its own style. Intellectualism has a good quality in thinking or it has the high IQ while totalitarianism is more to the freeing for them. The point of peaceful life is the thing that people around the world want to. We can share some fun and enjoy the life as we have to.
