If a person doesn't want to live what right do you or anyone else have to force that on them?
I think Queen meant something along the lines of "let alone" as in suicide itself should be illegal, and assisted suicide should be even more so.
You might be joking here so I apologize if you are.
"alone assisted suicide" isn't assisted suicide is it? Because it's alone. Which is actually still illegal in most states, but hard to prosecute... because the defendant is dead.
Also in Washington and Oregon it's not illegal to assist in someone's suicide as long as certain criteria are met, so they wouldn't go to jail.
Whether a person kills another person or not, it's about whether the one being killed consented.
In my opinion, suicide shouldn't be legal less alone assisted suicide. If it was an assisted suicide, the assisted would also have been guilty of killing the person that did suicide. The assisted person would've gone to jail because since the person that killed himself is dead and the assisted person helped, as I said before, he is technically guilty for killing that person.
I agreed because of the pursuit of freedom in this country. If someone wants to kill themselves, they reserve the right.
That doesn't mean that I believe it is RIGHT for someone to give up on life. I have personal opinions and beliefs that I'd rather not debate. I respect others' opinions as well. *_*
it should be legal. and government should provide the licensed doctors and special place for such thing (ex. "suicide hospital/clinic")
and of course there should be regulations and terms & conditions
If someone has an incurable disease, as of now the only way for them to die is to refuse treatment and slowly die of starvation and dehydration. It does happen. How is this more ethical than assisted suicide?
of course not that is the stupidest thing I've heard this week
"My name will be undisclosed but, you can call me crpl Boston.
In my time with Marine Corps I've realized many philosophical truths ,and I owe my state of mind to those appointed above and bellow me. One of the most basic of these philosophical truths is taught in boot. A warrior dosnt need to be certified or enlisted they only need to find a purpose and fight, when you "run away" (more like escape) from your houes or go travel America or Europe you need to understand somthing simple. You will become a mercenary or a warrior. A mercenary works for any cause to better themself. they survive they whore there ablitys and skills to advance a mercenary lacks a meaningfull goal. A warrior fights for somthing true no matter if that means they lose or win a warrior fights cause they must. When you travel or live on the streets You are fighting death every secound of it You fight death when your shoulders acke You fight when your lungs burn You fight death when you're hungry If you don't fight, death wins The thing you have to understand is not everyone can just become a warrior. You have to have the balls to not die. So before you run away or travel realize life is a struggle. But life isn't hardship, The struggle is in spite of hardship.
This is Crpl Boston Impervise adapt and overcome Simper Fidelis. over and out"
of course, that would give people the chance to formally say goodbye in person rather than writing it in a suicide note. No one can force anyone to want to continue living. It's not for everyone.
