Also consumer spending and the saving rate have gone up. Consumer spending is not due to rising prices either because according to the Federal Reserve inflation was well below the Feds 2 percent target.
This is as of December
1) please provide a source
2) Why would that have anything to do with trump?
3) by how much? and by how much in relation to inflation. If your wages are rising at the same (or less) than inflation, then you haven't gained anything at all. You can get a raise and still have less buying power than the year before.
An economy that has a working class that has the money to buy stuff is a strong economy. An economy where all the wealth is in the hands of a small group of people is an economy that can plunge into recession quickly and easily. It looks strong on paper, but is incredibly fragile.
NYT just reported that Black Americans are seeing their wages rise.
How many of those jobs are minimum wage that pay too little to live off of? How many of those are part time?
The number of jobs created is one piece of info in a much larger picture. That number being really high doesn't necessarily mean the economy is strong. If a million jobs that paid just barely enough to survive were created, that would be a horrible sign for the economy. It would be a sign that the middle class is getting crushed out of existence, which has been the trend for decades now.
2014 obama added 252,000 jobs in a month. so what? those numbers are average. your clueless.
225,000 jobs created in January.
so historybuff provided reasons and logic for why he feels the way he does, and your retort is simply "you hate the president" without addressing any of buff's reasons or logic.
Trump is not a criminal and the economy is booming. You just hate the president. The last Gallop Poll shows Trump in the lead on the economy. You are one of the few who hate Trump soooo much all you can do is complain. In all honesty I didn't hate Obama. But the hate for Trump just oozes out of you.
1) the economy isn't good. The stock market is up, the rich are getting richer. The country is running a historically high deficit. wages have been stagnant for years and a recession is in the near future. If you are a millionaire, yeah things are great. If you are most other people, not so much.
2) trump didn't have anything to do with most of those other things. He is an indicted criminal that was able to rig his own trial. Then gets on a stage to brag about how great he is when he has been a train wreck. Why would people applaud that?
Choosing not to applaud a criminal as he brags about things has nothing to do with whether you care about the people or the country.
It means the Dems don't care for a good economy, they don't care the Black Americans are doing better. They don't applaud Tuskegee Airmen or a girl who can be in a better school or someone going through stage four cancer. The Dems only care about power not about people
because in your eyes, being american means never questioning your king. what a tool.
What does this even mean?
