I actually liked the trilogy. The pacing was good, and while it did gloss over details it was good at staying true to the story. And in terms of CGI, I don't find it too lazy unless the CGI is made lazy. Ajin is a good example of proper CGI use, I think. The first season of Terraformars bothered me though. Too rushed, not enough put into it.

Gantz would be my other nominee.
that is what an advanced alien invasion would actually look like.
no chance, completely 1 sided.

I'm not a fan of the general fantasy theme as opposed to the pure horror of the early series... but they did always have a hint of it in the form of puck.

I don't like the cgi in the new cartoon, but I am still enjoying it. the story is as good as always and the feel and pacing is great.

how did you feel about the trilogy movies? they had the cgi but I think they were still amazing. was hoping they would continue it in movies instead of episodes.

I admit to lurking, when I said it would be months (1 at this point), and I can agree to the early berserk. However, I think the author is getting tired of it, and reconsidering the story altogether. Also, sometimes you'd have to wonder if the author is alright in the head.

Kind of worried about the direction of the new anime too.
