Estimations are open to bias. Some terms on Genesis could be translated to mean simply a period of time. And that changes everything.
Correct! However, we can make an accurate estimation based off of its very contents! :D
... and that estimation is so wrong it's sad
The premise that the bible dates the earth in inaccurate.
Ignore scientific evidence all you want, but, it is very unlikely that those outside factors such as climate change could throw the estimation off by 4 billion years. Do you think the bible is just misunderstood?
I don't think the dating system used especially the carbon test are accurate...this is based on the fact that they do not consider climate change..and change in weather patterns that makes carbon dating of these plants not accurate
The Bible doesn't explicitly state how old the earth is yes; however, using the chronological order of the old testament we can make a good estimation. That is also assuming that Adam was created on the first day of earth's existence; hence, looking at it through generations it gives us a good idea of how old the bible indirectly claims the earth is. Which is roughly 6,000 years of age which is indeed completely and utterly false.
The bible never made the claim it isnt 4.5 billion yo
The bibles so far off bruh. Earth is 4.5 billion years old; hence, the Bible is only about 4,000,000,000 years off target.
The bible doesnt say how old the earth is, some monks tried to determine it during the middle ages, tgats where 6,000 yrs comes from.
In reality, the Hebrew to Greek translation suggests that the creation story originally meant for day to represent just a period of time.
Did the tree tell you how old it was? No it was god whom created this earth 2000 years ago and Jesus created America with reagan as his side kick.
