Being a snitch and being caught being a snitch makes more people laugh at you. Laying on the ground screaming for help does the same thing for you, nothing. Stand your ground make friends so they will stick up for you. If someone is bullying you, tell a teacher before anything happens. So yeah. Stand your ground, tell a teacher, and have good friends.
so nerds are supposed to just fight back against usually much stronger jocks? especially if, as is often the case, the bully is backed by his buddies. or do you intend to bring in the great equalizer and stand your ground laws into the classroom?
fighting back should not be punished if a kid is backed into a corner and has no other options, but if other options are available, they should be encouraged to seek out a teacher.
There would be no bullying if people were allowed to defend themselves. Teachers want you to "scream" for help and not do anything when you get into a fight or somebody tries to fight you. However, that makes everything worse.
