All you need to do is just save a few dollars each month in your brokerage account when you are just a baby. Obviously you cannot go to the bank by yourself if you are a baby but your parents are supposed to do this for you.
Any decent portfolio manager will turn those $5,500 you save each year into $55,000 after a few decades.
If you save for two decades then you will have more than half a million when your children are old enough to go to college and they won't have to pay for any classes or apply for student loans.
If you have a baby, be smart and open a brokerage account for him or her today.
