This is kind of a weird question that I don't lean either way in. In evolution there is cooperation and competition, in capitalism there is cooperation and competition, among any system where there is a limited resource, whatever it may be, there is cooperation and competition, both have their strengths and weaknesses, where the most successful find a balance of cooperation and competition
depends on the situation. in a relationship, yes. in parts of an economy? no
I believe cooperation is better for you and your own kind in every instance. Competition is better for you when you're not the one competing. As customers we are rewarded by businesses 'tripping' each other to win the business sustainability competition. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but overall I still believe cooperation is better than competition.
Yeah, so it basically depends on the scenario
Not always. When a lot of people are involved, competition can be better than cooperation. For example, if the 10 largest companies producing "X" cooperate to keep prices higher than necessary so they all make a large profit off the masses, that's bad for the customers. if they compete for the lowest possible prices and try to drive each other out of business, that's good for the customers. Discord at one level is harmony at another.
I argue that co-operation is good for a collective cause & competition, better for individual improvement. Competitive spirit can push us individually, to better than the opponent while co-operation pushes people to work towards a common goal. But either way, improvement is almost inevitable, be it individual or collective.
competition gives 2 ways of winning. bettering yourself, or tripping your opponent. the latter way can help you personally, but can also hurt everyone else. like when AM radio sabotaged the inventor of FM setting it back very far.
do you believe cooperation cannot make you into a better self? 2 heads arent better then 1? even within our current system where companies compete, you expect employees within a company to cooperate. if they keep sabotaging each other, what will happen to the company?
Competition could be better for the mass majority who disagrees. Competition is what drives us to be better versions of ourselves
It depends. Minecraft survival is better in co-op, but build battle is better as a competition xD
