Immortality is a thing, there are creatures that exists that are Immortal, (It is a long explanation, so I would recommend you look it up) Also, there are ways humans can create an undying being, but it has not yet been achieved. And it can be good to fear death, because it encourages you to live life to the fullest. But of course I am not saying you should always be fearing death.
Death is inevitable. But I disagree with the idea that it should not be feared. We naturally fear the unknown, like death. That is proven by every single religion that explains death as a way to gain the ultimate reward following death. I think that it is perfectly valid to fear death. @sloanstar1000 I really like your point that most people are scared of the dying part of it. And maybe you're right that most people are more afraid of that than the actual dead part. But personally the dead part is a little scary for me... the idea that you're body is permanently done for eternity and that life, considered a miracle by nearly everyone(especially new parents), is over... I don't know that's just a scary thought for me.
and i agree that death should not be feared but it will be feared. we can never see a man who has just been shut and about to die fearless or someone with cancer or any way of dying that let you express . nobody. And that s also why we fear death not only the way we re dying .
We , humans , just fear everything unknown . The fear of death is totally human, normal, and natural for the simple reason that nobody knows what's next and this is our fear.
Most people aren't scared of being dead, they're scared of dying. There are very few ways of becoming dead that are peaceful.
