Dialects is our heritage. We shouldnt have to ban it. Banning it is like we are trying to stop our cultural from growing up. As a result, more and more ppl will only focus on main language and forget their root. It is such a shame to say you forget where you come from.

Dialect is like a cultural heritage, it symbolizes our background. From what u speak, I can know your ancestor origin. For Chinese, there r 5 major dialects spoken in Southeast Asia which is Hokkien,Hainam,Teochew,Cantonese n hakka. Each of These dialect is exclusive to particular states in China.Saying dialect should be banned is like saying ancient artifacts n heritage should be destroyed.
