In my thoughts, it's because similarity is known to the brain, no excitement in it and thereby no dopamine through our brains. Adventure is something makes you buzz and have fun and something ordinary, because of the dopamine rush and novelty.

Differentiation is great. The Philippines know England customs while England know more about The Philippines’s traditions as well. Having a different culture creates a different way of thinking too. It also creates the variety of knowledge to be shared.
