but the question means, should we help ourselves (ie our country, or our family, however you interpret it) before we help others.
I think no, I think that other countries are in much worse states than we are so for me helping them is more important. However when it comes to the refugee crisis, I have no problem with letting them in if they are fully legal etc. however I do feel that homelessness is a huge problem in the country already so we should fix that first
