Isis clearly warns what deserves the death penalty in their eyes. everyone who agreed to this thread has the same mentality as isis.
It can too in a way. If you use it excessively
all that article is about is driving under the influence. your debate topic isn't about using drugs and driving. using the drugs had never killed anyone. using them and deciding to drive has.
are you saying anyone who drinks alcohol should be shot too?
how exactly are people dying from marijuana? it is literally impossible to overdose on it. so please tell me how many innocent people die because of marijuana.
have you heard 'killing thousands to save thousands.' ? well like it or not its happening right now.
little down side? do you know how many addicts and innocents ones die because of marijuana.
in asia, people sell low concentrated alcohol. probably because it are inexpensive. I can barely see any shops selling high concentrated alcohol. plus considering our economy and currency is low, only the rich ones can afford buy high concentrated alcohol.
easier said than done. government have been doing that but there's still people running away from the rehabilitation centre and getting back to their old ways ( back to drugs and weed). you can't force and expect them to stop doing drugs immediately. drugs are addictive and studies shows that only 15% of drug addicts managed and confessed that they no longer do drugs besides health purposes.
also fyi, drugs are illegal in most countries. illegal traders are usually individuals from western countries and we generally demand supply from them in black market due to the lack of health economy back in those days. we depend on western countries for drugs because drugs are legal in western countries while our system is backwards. but now asias health economy is growing and society can fully depend on the government for free med so there is no excuse. and not forgetting, that we can't simply arrest drug dealers in western countries because to y'all it's legal and also arresting them in different country is not our job.
you can't crack down on drugs. it has been tried. it doesn't work. look at prohibition. they tried hard to stop people from drinking alcohol and it just didn't work.
marijuana has very little down side. the only negative side effects come from long term heavy use. trying to ban marijuana and allow alcohol is hypocritical and pointless.
the problem of drugs can be solved by a strict control on these drugs by the health department of the country. and instead of punish the drug addicts, we should punish the illegal traders. drug addicts should be sent to rehabiliation centres.
they've all been warned. there is no excuse. even if they get caught a decade later, they're still gonna end up in jail and be given death penalty. it doesn't make any difference because the lesser the drug addicts and dealers, the lesser the crimes like raping, robbing, the crime of driving a vehicle when you're high and such.
do you know how many innocent individuals killed each year due to drunk or high drivers? About 5,000 people under the age of 21 die each year as a result of drugs and weed. also this is under 21 years of age, let alone the number of innocent people dead above 21 due to excessive use of drugs. this is totally unfair don't you think? think about the families of the innocent ones and the pain they have to go through growing up without a parent or siblings - suffering the actions of heartless drug addicts and users.
but still i think killing isnt the solution.
government is currently giving free medications. weed is unnecessary and costly.
What is your plan to fix the drug problems?
and governments need to learn that the war on drugs has been lost. they are treating a health issue as a war. it hasn't worked for the last few decades and it never will. giving them death sentences will only make addicts and drug dealers much more violent. why would you go peacefully if they are going to kill you?
the Philippines government recently ordered people to actually shoot them. note that their president gave early warnings. also, the president stated clearly that drugs is illegal in their countries and warned them that if they vote him, it would be bloody. People need to take responsibility for their actions and accept the consequences.
aris you remember the troll thread?
that's an incredibly foolish idea.
