Yes, women have traditionally stayed home with the kids. That is the cultural norm. We're you aware that stay at home dad's are now a thing? Some people are not stuck in sexist attitudes. Some women do try to climb the ladder, but due to people like you who discriminate and see nothing wrong with it they have a much harder time doing so. I'm curious how you think they could succeed if they tried when each and every one of your points showcased how you would pass them by for promotions and jobs in favor of men.

You again base your dismissal of the wage gap with your personal biases. Since you've already said that you would discriminate against women when hiring, you have already proven that your opinions on why the wage gap exists means absolutely nothing.
Thereal, the problem with all of your "arguments" is that they are entirely your opinions. You throws in some statistics, but assumes your reasons behind them are accurate.
Women make up almost all teachers and a lower percentage of politicians because they choose not to go into politics. That's great, but all we have is your opinion that it is the real reason. You then destroys your own argument by saying "Lemme tell ya, the day women become the majority in congress, nothing will get done." That is the attitude that keeps women out of politics. You claim sexism doesn't prevent them from being elected, then make a sexist comment regarding how terrible it would be if they got elected.

Of course women with children are going to make less money than women without children, they have MORE TIME TO FOCUS ON THEIR JOB AND CLIMB UP THE LADDER, whereas women with children have other more important priorities (such as their children). On your second point- that goes back to my first point- women CHOOSE to do less high paying jobs. If you got off your dumbass and looked up the facts, you would see that the lowest paid degrees such as psychology, sociology and womens history are DOMINATED by women. Im guessing its mens fault that women choose to do low paying jobs with not a lot of demand? Because if they didnt waste their education on shit like "women's history" and instead studied somethong for a higher paying job, there would be MORE female applicants for jobs which means as a whole, women would be more likely to get higher paying jobs because there would be a variety of female personalities for the employer to choose from and more female applicants means it would be harder for them to get outdone by the many smarter male applicants. In terms of the resume, you may not be aware of this since you probably never got to such a high position in a job, but if 2 people have similar resumes then the employer usually ends up having to employ the person with the best personality traits. This usually ends up being the male because men are natural problem solvers whereas womenare not. Rather, women usually end up creating catty conflicts in the workplace and whining about everything. Once again, thats the womans fault. Thats your second point dismantled.

Women CHOOSE to do less in-demand degrees and therefore theyre CHOOSING to do lower paying jobs. That is the mans fault how? research has shown that in high paying positions men are more likely to be offered the job than a woman with similar resume.
women make about 80% of what men do. according to research at Berkeley the primary cause of this is descrimination manifested in the tendency to women being hired in low wage jobs and that male dominated professions tend to be higher paying that female dominated professions.
add to that, that women with children make 10 - 15% less than women without children. this doesn't happen to men with children.

alright, clearly I'm going to have to try to dumb this down for you. the law says that women are equal. that much is true. but a large number of people do not treat them that way.
look at Muslims right now. they have all the rights and freedoms of any other citizen. but countless studies have shown that people with Muslim sounding names are far less likely to be offered a job than a person with a white sounding name with the same resume. legally you cannot descriminate based on ethnicity or religion, but people do.
the issue is not the law any more. the issue is the large number of biased people that perpetuate these issues despite it being illegal.
