While I agree that there are intelligent feminists who believe in true equality, I also can't blame people for not believing that. For every Emma Watson who is a great example of feminist values, there are many Robin Morgans and Andrea Dworkins who feel that man hating is an honourable profession and want to see men beaten with a high heel shoe in their mouth.

While I agree with those who identify as feminists and want to find true equality, I hesitate to call myself a feminist since I have yet to see the group truly fight for men's rights. For example, fathers almost always lose custody in divorces, even if they are great dads.

feminism is 'fighting for equal rights for both MEN and WOMEN'

You are spamming topics with garbage. Like your three posts saying essentially the same thing. I enjoy debates, not "check out this video".

Copy and pasting links to YouTube is not debating. YouTube is not a reliable source, which should be fairly evident from all of the contradictory content you can find on it. Some of the videos provide supporting evidence, but you are then 2 steps removed from anything that could be considered reliable evidence.

I am debating. if you haven't read. I'm just using the links as support. you act like I only send evidence and I don't actually debate at all.

That is the problem, you aren't debating. You are spamming links to other people. It is one thing to back up your arguments, it is another to not have an argument. If you have a problem with your lack of debating being criticized you could just ignore it. Or you could try debating.

you have some issue with me. if it bothers you I'm sorry. then just ignore me. don't tell me how I can debate.

Could you please at least try to debate for yourself instead of just linking YouTube?

We should be thinking about Gender Equality. Where men are just as important as females.

Both genders should pursue what makes them happy instead of feeling like they need to behave a certain way. Feminism is confusing that by blaming it all on men than actually trying to fix the source of the issue because even woman look at woman and discriminate.

3 years, 8 months ago

looking at people's behavior based on how you believe their group should behave is the source of confusion.

a woman, as an individual, should pursue whatever path will lead them to happiness. so long as nothing illegal is done, confusion or any other issues are irrelevant.

Not only that woman have more of choice to dress how they would like. The cleavage thing is pretty stupid because I mean If I was attracted to a girl just as I was attracted to a guy I can't help it. The slut shaming well guys are shamed pretty much the same way. Fuckboys and I'm pretty sure they would be shamed for wearing short shorts and a really small shirt don't you think?

I'm not saying woman have to stay in the line of what of society has drawn but some here are going overboard with it and just want something to prove in my opinion. Society has drawn a line for everyone in society. Everyone has a line and my opinion. Girls have more of a freedom of choice than guys to do a lot of things that would shame a man. We should be talking about everybody when it comes to equality not exclude some certain people in the past just because of the history of woman. For example slavery. Even though discrimination happens among black people as well as Latinos and such does not mean that just because we had a horrible past that we are greater than the generation of whites today or lower. Were just as equal and continuing to fight for that equality in the right way not the wrong. Its not a competition. Just want to be treated like a regular person. If you understand.

Its not adjusting to change is what I mean. I don't really care for most feminist who act silly. I care for everyone and that includes the people who are actually fighting for real rights for woman in th world. Right now instead of feminist fighting for the goals of woman there fighting for everything to be equal like some competition. Like it matters. Everything that a man has done a woman has to do because its not equal or its unfair. I don't see it that way as long as most have a long happy life why go through all the trouble to allow silly things or encourage silly things. I completely understand if its something serious and unfair like for example pay wages but something I can't help be like seriously. Who said woman are more important. Right now what I see is that to make gender equality happen feminist are encouraging way more than the fair share of equality. I don't know how that's suppose to be adjusted to?

3 years, 8 months ago

so your argument is that feminism means that women don't have to stay inside the lines that society had drawn for them?

you're right, sort of. feminism changed the roles of women. they aren't just docile home makers anymore. adjusting to change takes time. it certainly does cause confusion for awhile. but staying stagnant is not an acceptable option. change is a part of life. embrace it, because it is going to continue.

Confusion in roles. So the majority had to find something to stick to. Plus I feel like that's why relationships are more weird these days and laid back and both genders are fighting for what they should and shouldn't do in the relationship. Now a days it isn't about woman being allowed to reach there goals but about woman being able to do as much as they an as men or even more. Like some stupid competition. I could be wrong but that's how I see it.
