no what I'm saying is ur deterrent on money doesn't work.
should we use deterrents on people wanting a better life
nobody said it is a deterrant to all but even that "some" which is actually "most" is enough. prison also serves as a deterrant to crime but it is only a deterrant to some not all so do you think punishments for crimes should also be stopped? use your common sense plz.
"actually people still blow their money on college just cause and still goof off." so youre saying it would be better for them to goof off and waste other peoples money than their own? sometimes i worry about you, neveralone.
college should absolutely be free. funds should be distributed similar to student loans. a student should have to maintain a certain GPA in order to continue earning funds. If a students GPA slips they should be required to retake the classes they failed on their own dime. once they have raised their GPA, funds can be disbursed to them again. this would incentivice students to perform and eliminate waste.
the argument that the job market will be too crowded if everyone goes to college is silly at best. some people simply can't pass college, nor does everyone want to go to college. however, free access to trade schools, community colleges, etc... will serve to fill the higher skill jobs which are currently going unfilled. in April of 2016 we had 500k manufacturing jobs go unfilled due to a skills gap in the workforce. modern manufacturing requires a higher skill cap than it did in the past. programming CNC machines requires high level math and computer skills not found in uneducated individuals.
it is simply becoming a fact of life that some college or vocational training is no longer optional, but required for most fields f work.
actually people still blow their money on college just cause and still goof off. the money is a deterrent to some but not all. also why would u be apposed to people wanting a better life?
No it shouldnt be free. it should be affordable but not free. if it is free, a lot of people will just go because they can and then mess about. that will be a waste of tax payers money. if people have to pay out of their own pocket, they will actually try because otherwise thousands of their own money will have gone down the drain. also if everybody goes to college, there will be a lot more people with similar qualifications than there are now and therefore the job market will become too overcrowded. anybody who agreed with thus deb8 clearly didnt think shit through.
I could agree with affordable
I misunderstood your position. My apologies.
I didn't mean expensive to people. that's already the case. I meant it would be expensive to the nation to institute free college on a national level, but it is well worth it. it's an investment. and making college free for all will cost the taxpayers far less in total than everyone paying for their own college. (economics of scale).
College must be affordable, but not necessarily free.
but for people who want to go that don't that I've talked to always say it's a money issue.
because it's expensive... but it's an investment that will return many times over.
you open a business to make money, but you will definitely fail if you don't first spend money on equipment, supples, location. we the people are main unit of the nation and if we don't invest in ourselves, the country will fall apart from the core.
why would anyone diasagree with this one?
