That's like saying stores should be happy for shoplifting because the people are likely to love their products and come back. Stealing something from the artist is not helping them. Yes they may find some fans this way, but if you are downloading the music, you are likely already a fan. Most people discover music they enjoy from friends and family or the radio, not through blind downloading.
i think it's my bad. it should be " free music on the internet should not be considered as piracy"
well. free music downloads on internet actually helpful for the artist themselves. they could gain popularity, fans, etc. which at the end will be beneficial for them
because even if the artist doesn't get money from those downloads, they will get much more money from concert, merch, etc, which it could be happening if they have many fans
it's also already been proven by many newcomers artist becoming popular fast
Its certainly piracy, you're obtaining an exclusive good for free. You are stealing a free copy which belongs to the record company. Whether or not you consider that morally acceptable is up to you.
it is pretty clear cut that illegal downloading is piracy. You are taking someone else's property. That being said I don't really disagree with doing it. But your statement is clearly incorrect by definition.
