this was true for my generation, but now only really old timers or a handful of stubborn people. gaming is the mainstream, comics are the mainstream. oppression is dead.
not really oppression but rather a social stigma which depends from where community you are from. I could cite thousands of prejudice coming from people just by knowing you are a gamer. Most from old people though.
