Those are just 2 laws in Judaism. it doesn't fill a void or add purpose MOST of the time. most of the time it just aids you in becoming a better person physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. (Those are the 4 tenants of good health.)

Not necessarily, if you are told not to murder somebody it is not filling a void. You don't do it because you are told not to, because not all people understand that's wrong. Of you are told to be healthy and you do you will feel better and more relieved during strenuous tasks. Are those not ways of life disregarding purpose?

A way of life that allows you to feel like you have a purpose. because the question of "Why do we exist? What are we doing here?" cannot be answered.

Therefore it is a way of filling a void, to put it a better way.

It's more of a way of life then filling in gaps of the unknown.
