that would be tough. believers by nature take a step on faith. something hard to show as a lie. a lack of purpose? consciousness dying?? idk
For the record, I don't mean that in any way insultingly. There are many things that would convince me that the supernatural exists. If I saw someone set something on fire with their mind, or know something impossible, or heal the terminally I'll (under controlled conditions) I would believe. Basically, if someone gives credible proof, I will believe. I just want a similar description of what would convince a believer not to.
Let's take the opposite approach. What experiment could be done that would prove to a believer that God does not exist.
can you demonstrate objective morality?
why would a creature free from the predator food chain not seek purpose? my dogs seek a purpose and a role to play to be useful. it is natural.
I believe the existence of objective morality and humans craving purpose points to the existence of the supernatural
People are trying. Here is a list of prizes for proof of paranormal activities or abilities.
We have been looking for proof of supernatural things for as long as there have been people who believe in it.
I'm not firmly against these things existing, I just have never seen it demonstrated.
