we elect our leaders so in part it is our fault but overall us does good.
that is war. one side sees freedom fighters the other sees terrorist.( not specifically talking about any war)
it doesn't matter what the American people do or do not want. the American government is the one who acts. when they murder millions, America murders millions.
and the Vietnam war, while controversial, still had alot of public support. millions of Asian people died and millions of Americans cheered.
u assume the CIA did this with the people's support but they didn't in fact most people were agaisnt it.
what did that mean?
if we assume that a price should be considered like the whole then everything is messed up for everyone. I rather take the whole.
so the CIA is not a part of the American government? as a part of the government their crimes are American crimes.
and Vietnam was not solely a CIA intervention. and there are Americans that defend America's actions in Vietnam to this day.
u know ur saying a lot about u did this and u did this but both of these events were the CIA directly. they had a ton of power then and now influenced the pres. like the bay of pigs. that was also CIA. I don't think it's very fair for the CIA to be what America is thought of. and who actually supports any of this? I don't know a single American who does.
in Guatamala you arranged a military coup to overthrow a democratically elected government to protect a multinational fruit company. this led to decades of military dictatorship.
in Vietnam you installed a regime that represented a tiny fraction of its people. when he didn't work out you arranged a military coup. when that military dictator didn't work out you arranged another military coup. to support these corrupt regime you murdered hundreds of thousands of civilians and hundreds of thousands of patriots fighting to take back their country.
true. what ones r u talking about? one I would say is we didn't get into ww2 soon enough. I understand that we were scared from last time but our friends needed our help and we left them to die.
Fair enough, but there needs to be a will to change, which means acknowledging the past mistakes and problems.
it doesn't mean we can't change. just that we're hard headed.
Historically, America hasn't really done well at peaceful coexistence. Look at the natives for an example. Look at slavery. Look at how Muslim Americans are being treated now.
I wouldn't say imperialism exactly. every def. I know means to dominate another group of people. I would prefer coexist if we can't become one.
I know. you think American imperialism is right.
it's really not what we want. it's what we think is right.
I'm saying those people love American imperialism. being the biggest power doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want. it just makes you the biggest bully.
most of those places we were asked to be in.
we are the biggest power in the world so people ask for our help all the time. how is it wrong on America for helping? if we didn't during ww2 Hitler would likely have won.
we do think. we have to have Congress approval to go to war so r u saying all those people just love war?
Iraq, Guatamala, Vietnam, Pakistan, Yemen just to name a few.
maybe not wanted isn't the best way to describe it. none of your business might be better. for example, the US funded groups to oust the Russians from Afghanistan. they certainly wanted your help. these Jihadis went on to inflict terror on large numbers of people.
America feels they have the right to intervene anywhere in the world. they rarely stop to think about the consequences of their actions.
technically if the world is at war then Canada gets attacked we probably would help. but again there's a ton of variables. also what times r u talking about that they don't want us there?
because Canada is your ally. you have a contractual (nato) obligation to defend Canada if it is attacked.
most of the rest of the world is not a member of NATO. you have no treaty saying you should intervene in their affairs. especially since most of the time they don't want you to.
assisting an ally you have a long standing defense treaty with, and intervening in a country that doesn't want you there are not even remotely similar scenarios.
yeah i've noticed that
also it's funny u think we're obligated to help but then on other discussions u tell us to keep our noses out.
unless NATO tanks or other possibilities. like America becoming the bad guy decides to take Canada while opportunity arises or if a country wanted a good area to attack America bombs Canada or ect. tgeres a bunch of variables to consider in this
I'm pretty sure that China would win. they have a huge advantage in population and industrial capacity. not to mention they have alot more money.
and yes, Canada is a member of NATO and the US obligated to assist us if we were attacked.
unless Canada is on the other side of course. depending on all the variables it could be Canada separated and is playing the other side. idk like I said it depends on the variables
so the US and all NATO members would help canada.
but US is always with Canada since its in NATO.
i'm pretty sure, canada will crave for US help. Russia/China can wipe out their military in a day.
not attack per say. more of fact and it being funny. I mean they don't have much of a military so if some country wants power during this time of war Canada would be a good place to take.
hahaha. last sentence was funny. I'm pretty sure its an attack on Historybuff.
it will more than likely be ww3 so lots of power going everywhere. also Canada probably won't last
what about 3)
1) I would go with China
2) everyone. but mostly the losing side.
5) a worse off world
I wanted to know these things----
1)who would win
2)who's gonna suffer most
4)Destruction of both sides
5) Result of the war.
plus America made them a bit antsy of each other during the Korean war time. or at least tried
why not? it is just a scenario.
both are enemies of each other. Both have interests that are against the US and other countries. But that doesnt mean both the China and Russia are close allies of each other. Ever heard of sino-soviet conflict? it was a political war and many died.
a war between China and russia? why that matchup?
i wonder what would be historybuff's opinion.
everyone is to a degree but right now there a sad requirement to society.
a lot of dead people.
Now to be honest, I'm totally against wars.
