as does basketball, street hockey, touch football, or anything else besides stand around baseball.
dodgeball is not the only sport one gets exercise and can vent, but it is the only sport where you can target someone for bullying.
why not soccer? infinitely more running and exercise, comradery, team sportsmanship, and the only target is an inanimate goal.
soccer seems superior to dodge ball as a school sport in every way.
what kind of school does not include dodge ball?
I strongly believe that we should include dodgeball in our schools. Every time you play dodgeball you incorporate aerobic exercise while you play. It helps improve cardiovascular health. This is also a type of interval training. Dodgeball is a type of strength training. It increases muscle endurance by using different body parts. By doing daily muscle-building, you can prevent many diseases. Dodgeball helps increase ability and balance which are few of the fundamentals of everyday life. When you play dodgeball, you have to run as well as dodge ball. Through this activity, you are adjusting your bodies to move at a rapid pace. Successful players are always in an upright posture which reduces the risk of falling.
Dodgeball is the time where everyone can let out their anger (even the tiny kids who can’t defend themselves as much). In the movie, “Dodgeball”, puny defenseless kids faced their fears and hauled balls at the big kids who would always bully them. This gives them a chance to feel superior and helped them understand that they mean something in this world too.
