I agree. Do you believe I push to aggressively? I can see how I've done so in some debates. I try to make rational arguments that I believe or know to be true at least. But I can certainly try to use aggression more tactfully. I am a metalhead though ;) I am one with the force of aggression!

An aggressive approach in certain debates can be effective in making an image of you winning against your opponent. Consistently using that approach, however, will make you seem as if you only seek to win, and not to assess whether you are actually more right compared to your opponent, which is the purpose of debating in the first place.

I've debated a lot with a lot of people on this forum. A lot of people on this forum are too kind to aggressively criticize their opponent - which is a good thing. But considering your exposure to me, I think I'd profit from your criticism of myself as a debater.
