-Taxation by the government has came too much. It is no longer just to better society, it is just to the point of greed and control. If aliens came to Earth, we would find a way to tax them.

then a specialised black market dealing all sorts of goods will thrive which means that poor shopkeepers will suffer and on top of that it will inspire these good people to commit a crime

infastructure is only 2% of where taxpayer dollars go.

no it would not mean disaster. not even in the slightest. please do yourself a favor and look up chaos theory or spontaneous order theory.

3 years, 3 months ago

your "people can do whatever they want" philosophy would only create disaster. anyone should see that

as for the issue of drunk driving. so long as nobody is hurt or has their rights violated then there is no crime. and government regulations have done nothing to decrease the number of underage drunks or drunk drivers. in fact as the years go on that number just keeps raising in spite of government regulation.

companies cant build on private property that doesn't belong to them. so no roads would not run through your back yard unless you sell your back yard. and companies with good road planning and building skills would ultimately be the ones with the most success and set a high standard for other road building companies to do a good job. the free market can and should take care of its self. not to mention how good it is at solving just about any problem you might have.

Only if parents can't teach responsibility. Just because you drink doesn't mean you drink to get drunk.

3 years, 3 months ago

great so now along with no interstates and criss crossing roads, we have drunk kids

3 years, 3 months ago

The age limit should be left up to a responsibility rather then government, but it's an incentive.

3 years, 3 months ago

my God, that road plan is awful. companies will build roads though your backyard. there would be countless intersections every 2 feet. who would get a say on the traffic lights?

the state doesn't have to build the roads. the 21 age limit is an infringement on personal responsibility and individual liberty. the age limit should be left up to the parents. and that goes for everything regarding the children.

we may have not had an interstate system but cars at the time weren't capable of traveling that far. they to trains which where privately owned.

3 years, 3 months ago

Also if a state doesn't abide by the alcohol law (21 to buy) they lose funding for upgrading or improving their roads.

3 years, 3 months ago

We also didn't have an interstate system though.

roads can and should be handle by the free market and so should schools. when it comes to roads think of it this way. I'll use Walmart as an example. lets say we have a Walmart out 3 miles from your neighborhood and any other department store 2 miles from you neighborhood. these to stores are going to compete for customers and seeing that Walmart is 3 miles away they will probably hire a road building company (perfect business opportunity) to build a road through these neighborhoods that can reach their store and also to build one connecting to the free way plus a big sign to attract travelers and commuters. we must remember that up until like the 1900s we did not pay any income tax and yet we still had paved roads and arguably better schools then we have now.

ts funny how we spend more money per person on health care, but have health care as a huge problem.

3 years, 3 months ago

most taxpayer dollars go to medicaid/medicare

3 years, 3 months ago

I agree we need a smaller goverment. we also need a military, roads, and police. what about schools?

the free market can handle the roads. if you'd like me to elaborate just ask. as for military and other government functions. they should have no problem running off of a small consumer tax. the reason we are in debt is not because we pay to little taxes buy rather because the government is preforming thousands of functions and services that are not absolutely necessary to government function.

will you be fine with not paying taxes, yet receiving no emergency services, not being allowed to use the roads, not being allowed in public parks, and not being allowed to go/send your kids to public school?

Taxes are what pay for infrastructure like roads. It is also what pays for the military and other things essential to a nations survival. If you receive the benefits of these things, why is it unfair to expect you to contribute to them?

let me rephrase my statement. all tax that is not voluntary is theft. under this restriction something like consumer tax would be fine.

3 years, 3 months ago

i agree that taxation in useless if the money people pay goes into the pockets of politicians.
