That is what I was saying.
Then I guess it depends on the circumstances. If Clark weren't so inclined to actually hurt Bruce by whatever means necessary, he would back down enough to the point where Bruce would win. Is that what you are saying?
That should have read
"Even more than the Kryptonite... "
While I agree that Superman could simply throw rocks at Batman from space and there isn't really a thing Batman could do to retaliate, that isn't how Superman fights. Superman avoids collateral damage and frequently takes hits you avoid it, so the odds of him simply obliterating Batman in a split second are almost nill.
Batman and Superman have gone toe to toe repeatedly in the comics and Batman almost always wins. Whenever Superman is mind controlled or for another reason needs to be stopped, Batman is usually the one called on to do it. Batman actually explains why he usually wins in the Hush storyline.
"if Clark wanted, he could use his superspeed and squish me into the cement. But I know how he thinks. Even. Ore than the Kryptonite, he's got one big weakness. Deep down, Clark's essentially a good person... and deep down, I'm not. "
If Superman were to go all out, he could simply shatter the planet and watch Batman die floating in space, but that isn't how he fights, so that isn't what would happen.
Lex Luthor is not as smart as Batman, either tactically or in general, but he has beaten Superman repeatedly using kryptonite.
I have to be honest: in almost any debate about Superman, I'm not on his side. I think that, in the whole world of heroes, he may be one of the most naive. He never had to earn his powers - which of course, is fine, but certainly doesn't help in the big picture - and that seems to be a glaring indicator that he probably doesn't know much of a struggle. In social situations, I can't say because I've not really seen him in one but that's a lot of power for someone who's really just a kid.
That said, that's still a hell of a lot of power. I said "nevermind Bruce's tech" because I assume the tech would get f***ed along with the rest of him. I didn't realize kryptonite was so popular - maybe Clark should do something about that. Let's be real, though; as long as Superman knew about the kryptonite, he could avoid it and exterminate Bruce in a split second. Now, this would likely not be the only answer to their problems but if it was necessary and it happened, I still think Clark would win.
However, Lex Luthor has kryptonite and time to prepare every time...when's the last time he actually beat Superman?
Saying never mind Bruce's tech is like saying never mind Clark's powers. His ability is based on him being an expert tactician and having the tools to do the job.
If they just bumped into each other on the street and decided to fight, Superman would win hands down.
If he had time to prepare, Batman would likely win as he has a lot of kryptonite and would put it to good use.
Well, as I understand it, Superman is one of the top superheroes closest to being omnipotent, alongside The Phoenix and Loki of Asgard (and, I'm sure, others). (I wonder if Wolverine would count given he was omnipotent for a moment in the comics.) It only seems to make sense that a non-inhanced human would be decimated by him in seconds, nevermind Bruce's tech.
