This topic is idiotic. Wars have been fought BECAUSE of religion.

Wait are you suggesting that fighting other countries is contradictory to most religions? Those are fighting words!

Wars also might be caused by disagreements, etc.

Wars aren't only based on religion. Not too mention religion tends to be more of a guideline on how to live. As you can see, they're difficult to follow. Saying one is not truly religious just because they don't follow everything that they're told does not make them any less religious. Regardless, with or without religion, there will be wars, religion has nothing to do with someone's pride and their vengeful reaction when that pride gets struck. If anything, religion actually helped people be level headed for the most part. This is an absurd assumption and you should feel bad

taking Christianity and Islam to be the best examples, given their success relative to other religions...

these two religions cannot even spread over a continent without fracturing and producing new religions and consequently new wars. What makes you think they could overtake an entire planet without more of the same problems?

5 years, 5 months ago

No, because then there would be conflict between the religious beliefs and therefore that would either cause war or hug it out and say no war only hugs but that's a lie there will always be war because the thing in your head that makes you think is called a brain and that brain of yours makes you different from others and not everyone will ever believe in the same thing and that's why we're arguing right now because we all see things differently than from which others think.

Religion could also be the cause of wars such as the crusades. I am pretty certain that Christianity and Islam supposedly have no tolerance for other religions. So if everyone was truly religious then holy wars would occur left and right.

If people were truly religious, and there books not riddled with self-conflictions, and they actually followed them, war would skyrocket. Democracy and the whole of conflict resolution rely one big thing. The ability to compromise. If you are delusional enough to believe you are following God's(or whichever mythical being you want) word you won't compromise. You're acting out God's plan or words or whatever. Especially considering the vast majority are morally moribund and say kill each other. And we have seen it. Its the largely religious countries with the most actively engaged armies. So no, a more religious populace is the opposite of a less waring people.

War isn’t a good way to express your anger. We live in a democracy era. Use your logic to create peace all over the world without war. The best way to solve different perceptions is having a face to face meeting until an agreement is reached by two parties. It also shows that with no war, people are truly religious who love peace.

As many wars have been fought over water and land and women and gold. And nobody is saying that everyone is truly religious. They're not.
