Not necessarily, but social anxiety disorder is a common pair with gender dysphoria
Transgenders suffer from social anxiety disorder?
"transgenderism" is a clinical diagnosis titled Gender Dysphoria. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness listed in the DSM-5, formerly known as gender identity disorder in the DSM-4. Gender dysphoria is often paired with other mental illnesses such as unipolar depression, general/social anxiety disorder, etc. But, being clinically transgender is called Gender Dysphoria.
last time I we talked about Transgender, I said they are suicidal. That doesn't mean they are suffering from illness.( I said suicide was a mental illness, I didn't find that listed so I was wrong.) I still commit more suicide more then anyone in the U.S.
As for mental illness... maybe
Yes, a little over 40% commit suicide. But, what I'm saying is that GD does not mean that one will suffer, only that it is more likely.
I dunno if they're suffering, but they do have a mental illness.
It's called gender dysphoria (formerly gender identity disorder) and this is a fact.
