That might be enough to see the common perception.
It looks like most of the people in this community are on the agreeing side of this statement.

I do as well and have called people out for it. When several people disagree with a statement in which I presented evidence to support my argument but no one rebuts it I will explicitly ask what part they disagree with.
psychdave. in those instances I completely understand and I do the same thing.
What particularly annoys me is that I make a detailed, or at least a direct argument, and instead of someone countering my points, they just hit disagree... I just see that as intellectual laziness.
I cam understand in situations where someone says something that is factually incorrect. If someone said that the world is flat, I would feel comfortable simply disagreeing since most people would be intelligent enough to recognize why.
Alternatively when someone has already responded to the comment and I have nothing valuable to add, I will simply disagree and agree with the appropriate comments to show my support for them rather than simply restate things.
just interested to know why those that disagree think people shouldn't have to explain why they disagree, especially on a debating app.
