lol. the comic is forgetting that material things don't matter in the next life, the eternal life. it's forgetting what matters. but still pretty funny.

A bit irreverent, but this is what I think of when people talk about asking God a question.

Any moral arguments would be futile, because at that point it would be arguing our significance over other life forms, then in the light of death not being the end of anything but life, it would be hard to accept death as a serious problem. Any issues about hell would be on pain and relativity and where that goes is in circles, so even complaining about hell proves futile.

At this point, it would be arrogant to claim a moral high ground, and without power it would be brazen to say how something must be done. If you're going to be brazen or bold, ask for the opportunity to make a difference or petition for a change to be made. But saying that because something can be done to help a fairly insignificant race or life forms it should be done, has no moral basis. Helping humans could be no different from helping eyeworms. Therefore the only proper response, if thankfulness for living is not the emotion to be felt, must be a demand. Make a clear, direct request with no expectations of fulfilment, and take it how someone powerless does.

Also, I remember (didn't rewatch the interview, so don't get me wrong if I get this wrong), Fry gave credit for the previous gods for not pretending to be above human in their desires. I wouldn't think the best appeal would come with a lecture on morality, or a superficial sense of justice or being owed. Whatever happens, roll with it.

the ancient Romans Pre-Ceasar had a system where, in war, a guy would be appointed dictator for 6 months. I'm then a guy came along and made the Senate appoint him dictator for life.

Good dictators are awsome. the problem is when the good dictator dies a bad dictator takes power. and the country can't be saved. if a bad pres takes power the country can be saved. look in history everytime there is a dictator or king a bad one takes power.

well you say it's good for you to be a dictator. then you accuse God of being a dictator and say it as a bad thing.

it's not fair, correct. let's say your parents had money, but gambled it away, leaving you to starve. it's not fair, but it's reality.

no you didn't invent the diseases, but saten puts them into the world. Saten was able to do this because of the fall of man.

3 years, 7 months ago

evil that is not our fault! we didn't invent these horrible diseases which affect children (you couldn't get more innocent than children)

and also why should we pay and suffer for some one else's sins ? that's not fair

3 years, 7 months ago

ok, do that guy is basically saying to God "I don't like you, because there is evil in the world" and the guy wants to be away from God (hell) instead of asking God why an all good God would permit evil and suffering.

First we have free will, so if u want to be bad u can. that is how we get some evil. second, suffering is the result of the fall of man. they failed the test, and it leads to us suffereing. third ge said he won't like God because God's wants us to praise him. he doesn't seem to see why praising a being who 1 gives you life, and 2. gives you a choice of eternal happiness. some people don't sit down and think, they believe they are better then God. it is a strange disorder people have.

depends on what sort of God
