the wall would fall under the "I'm against burning money" section.

it's a waste of money. it will accomplish nothing.

2 years, 1 month ago

add to that that this has been tried before. bush tried the same thing for the same bullshit reasons. it turned into a mess and accomplished nothing.

2 years, 1 month ago

I think everyone should be against that wall. it serves no purpose. government documents say that the large majority of illegal immigrants enter the country through border crossings and airports. the idea that there are millions of people sneaking in across an unguarded border is not true.

and even if it were true, a wall in and of itself still serves no purpose. a 10 foot wall just increases demand for 11 foot ladders. without billions and billions in manpower and security that wall does absolutely nothing. that money could be much better spent.

Are you against building a wall?

2 years, 1 month ago

Since removing illegals is quiet a tough job, I mean they are in millions. So it would be better to make them legal and protect further entry.

BTW, let's say you show up in an emergency room hemorrhaging blood. would you like the doctors to run your insurance or verify your papers before stabilizing you?

oh! so your an Obamacare supporter! I'm glad to hear that. most people with your position don't see how it actually saves up money!

btw, considering many legal migrants and even US citizens are uninsured, that statistic doesn't really say much about imigrants!

2 years, 1 month ago

That's just the medical costs

2 years, 1 month ago

In 2013, the Center for Immigration Studies estimated the medical costs for uninsured individuals at $4.3 billion per year, primarily due to the use of emergency rooms and free clinics.

How do they take money out of our pockets?

2 years, 1 month ago

no i love immigrants. its the illegal immigration that just in my perspective nothing comes good from them. like it or not but a lot of money gets taken out of our pockets because of them and you even said you hate spending money on worthless things

2 years, 1 month ago

almost every economist will tell you, immigration is good for the economy. I hope you don't think they are all liberally biased as well.

according to some, they are already criminals. I'll agree that violent ones need to go, but that's it. and just about everyone agrees with that on the left.

and I don't mind beefy up the border if the legitimate gate is reasonable. although I'm not a big fan of burning money for no reason.

2 years, 1 month ago

but you can't ignore the fact that if a illegal immigrant commits a crime they get released back in there country and they could come back. i dont think its wrong to have strict background checks either with these refugees coming in too i dont think we should be an open door country at all

2 years, 1 month ago

I'm not trying to save them for moral reason, although I do feel that it is a nice bonus. I want to use them to better this nation and it's citizens.

that 46million figure you are quoting... you do realize that includes the elderly, prisoners, disabled, and housewives along with other groups that aren't looking for jobs and are not interested in getting jobs...? even if the were available.

I'm not saying there is no jobless crisis but siting misleading figures isn't going to help the cause.

also I never said they should be paid more. some in particularly abusive situations yet, but most, nah. they are doing fine. it's clearly a better situation than back home. I just want them to pay taxes (which they mostly already do), and report crimes / be witnesses (which they don't cause they are terrified of deportation). I want them to openly be a part of our economy instead of creating an underground.

I definitely don't think we should insta citizen them. and I don't think they should have the same benefits as citizens. what I want is to encourage immigrants to come, work, pay taxes, and subsidize citizen entitlements. which they will happily do since the situations we saved them from suck and eventually them or their children will have the full privileges of citizenship... eventually.

yes I want them to come legally, but that just won't happen as long as the fees are huge and the beaurocracy requires lawyers. the current system, they had to come illegally, or they wouldn't come at all.

please don't assume my positions or my reasons are the same as most liberals. it will help with the not assuming. we are all individuals. if you must judge, at least listen first.

8 million illegal aliens work the other 3 million dont. now you're gonna tell me that if we moved all those illegals out it wouldnt help me or you with taxes or it wouldnt help that 46 million Americans without jobs. now lets be clear on some things okay you said how illegals have crappy jobs and they should make more money then they do the only reason why a boss would hire them is because they will work next to nothing now if all of them left they wouldn't raise there prices. im sure they would go out of business or the farmers wouldnt get all there work done because no one would raise the wages. so if theyre having such a shitty time here there staying poor on some bullshit job then why are they staying here? can you tell me that.

btw. citizenship costs nearly 1000 dollars for residents, immigration costs more than that.

we are talking about the poor from developing nations.... how are they supposed to afford that NONREFUNDABLE amount? many Americans can't even afford it. and if it gets lost in the months of beuracracy, too bad, nonrefundable. go save another lifetime....

and when we give our next door neighbor the same max quota as Denmark or some other tiny far away country the wait to get in is decades....

the system is not reasonable. shouldn't we take a look at it before assuming they are just lazy bums who take a life threatening journey and work sun up to sun down for pennies in order to send some money to their families? such scumbags.

and I know, America first, other people second. but like I said, your policies hurt the migrants AND america. nobody wins.

"well if the illegal immigrants left then they would realize i need to raise my wages so people will work with me not screw people over so it would also be advantages of hire pay even for a crappy job that no one wants to do. illegal immigrants are getting screwed by those jobs anyways they have bosses that are not likely to pay them over 9 bucks an hour."

the first sentence doesn't make sense. I want to engage with as many people as possible, please don't take this as a criticism but as advice. try to organize your posts into smaller paragraphs and proof read so it sounds like an argument and not a train of thought rant.

I wasnt referring to employers who pay them under the table illegally, I'm talking about jobs that are EXEMPT from minimum wage... like salary jobs or farm labor. they have been doing these jobs for a century. so can we please establish that they didn't take any of your jobs... if anything your trying to take theirs.

seeing as they didn't take any of your jobs... and we wouldn't be able to live off of the jobs they do hold (there's a reason they live 30 in a one bedroom apartment. and the fact that there presence creates MORE JOBS (more stores, more food, more construction) how will kicking them out help you and your pursuit for work?

btw, illegal immigrants do pay taxes, even though they see almost no benefits. besides schooling and the occasional hospital emergency, what handouts do we give them?

that was a lot of assumptions, just like in the contraception thread you took my statement that life is continuous to mean I want to murder children.... between the 2 of us, who is a clown?

I'm against giving any handouts to illegal immigrants. you could have just asked that instead of assuming like an idiot. however you clearly have no knowledge of economics besides the 2 second political talking points you mindlessly repeat. extra workers don't just take jobs, they have to eat, they need homes, they need supplies, furniture, etc. THEY ALSO CREATE JOBS BY. CREATING MORE DEMAND.

and exactly what jobs did they take? most people complain about disappearing mining and factory work. are those jobs full of immigrants now? NO! THEY ARE GONE!

immigrants didn't take your jobs, your just scapegoating people for no reason.

most illegal immigrants do 2 jobs. insane hours in hectic kitchens in cities (paid salary below minimum wage, jobs no American wants, and that's the better job of the 2) or back breaking farm labor from sun up to sun down, also exempt from minimum wage, and something most Americans would never ever do. they had these jobs for almost 100 and THEY HAVEN'T TAKE ANYTHING FROM YOU.

if you really want to solve the problems facing the country, stop blaming everyone but yourself, and stop looking for easy solutions.

yes i do its called getting a citizenship dont be a lazy nobody having us people pay out of there pocket for people who cant get a citizenship. you're a clown you dont even realize there is a million of US citizens that dont have jobs and you want to help the illegals first. im not saying dont ignore people from getting in build safe houses for them in a safe area.
