I think that the least we could do as a country is push greater oversight of our military and ensure that when we send our soldiers overseas, they and the people will know that they go with a righteous mission to defend us or our allies and friends, but not for the profit or power thirst of individuals or small groups. Our soldiers should not be thought of as pawns by those in power, but as people, who risk the ultimate price in hope that they are creating a better world.
