Sending our child for his mistake is not a wise decision. If he makes a mistake, we only need to remind him about it so that he is not going to make the same mistake in the future. However, if he makes a fatal mistake like killing other people, we should let him face a legal process. In other words, he should be ready to take the consequences of his actions.
Maybe the parents, but children are not responsible for their decisions. And prison is really harsh for childhood mistakes.
If you hit another child with a baseball bat in the head and you send the other child to the hospital maybe you as a parent should have the authority to borrow an empty cell from a prison and sent your boy to prison for a while in solitary.
