Palestine was never a nation. British rule, ottoman rule, they were under other nations for at least half a millenia, and probably other before then. just another changing of hands.

eitherway, the Jews moved in and just made settlements. no tanks, no guns, just families. had the Palestinians not reacted like xenophobic Republicans things may have turned out very different. Israel was and is still mostly empty desert. it could have been a home for both Jews and Palestinians working together rather than at each other's throats.

Your absolutely right the conflict is about land.

Would America accept a a one state solution if either Canada or Mexico encroached into their territory and asked America to accept a one state solution? If your answer is no, then how do you propose Palestinians to accept a one state solution.

The only one state solution possible is to give back the Palestinians their original land, and send the Israelis back to nutsy Germany.

this conflict is over land. not religion. a one state solution solves the conflict.

there are many Palestinians who are also Israelis and they are free to pursue any position the like, attend the best of schools and pursue their dreams.

If there is a growing bias against them (which there is) it is not from random hatred but from the perpetual violence. and that is fully understandable.

You don't always have to kill people with rockets, Israeli soldiers will find it easier to attack Palestinians in a one state solution without any fear of allegations perpetrating and trespassing Into Palestinian territory.

The Israelis would always dominate and compel the Palestinians to do petty low paid jobs.

well in a one state solution, in your scenario Israel would be launching rockets at itself since Palestine would be part of israel.

That is an seriously bad idea, Israel you give commands to launch missiles and recruit army. And Palestine would be finished.

as long as there is conflict, no solution will work, 1 or 2 state. they will separate, Palestine will still be poor and underdeveloped, rocket attacks will likely continue, Israel will retaliate, eventually invade and back to square one.

however if conflict is resolved, the other issues such as Palestine's underdevelopment and territorial disputes would be easily resolved in a one state solution.
