I think that many people think that something is bad does not mean that it is. Killing animals is bad because we harm them just to benefit us.
I'm a human. I don't want to be eaten so I don't want to live near people who will eat me. Most people agree with me on this so we agree this person is bad. We have banded together and have social power to remove people who want to eat us from living near us.
I am not an animal. Animals are tasty. Most people agree with me. We have banded together and have the social power to kill animals for our pleasure and convenience. We agree that it is not bad because it gives us value, and we don't pay the price of the taken life.
That's how I see the way good and bad are socially constructed.
