the reason we can't live in harmony with each other is because of scarcity. once technology eliminates scarcity there will be little need for conflict.
the problem is our dominant system is capitalism, which pretty much runs on scarcity. scarcity = value. just like debeers hoards diamonds and tightly controls the amount of supply entering the markets in order to control price.
some native Americans were peaceful, some were warlike. the same as everywhere else.
I don't think it's impossible. I think there are no limits to what could happen in the future. There is so much we don't know about. How many undiscovered forces are out there? We couldn't know. But I don't think that will happen, at least in the next five or six centuries. We're to unevolved and stupid.
I mean peacefully coexist. No war, no Borders.
What about the Native Americans? I thought they did quite a good job before.
By "harmony", do you mean "coexist" or "peacefully coexist"?
