I think it has something to do with our monthly spending. When we receive our salary, what we must prioritize first is what we need. Things like budget for food, electricity bill and phone bill are the things we need because we need them for the whole month. After we calculate all the things we need, we can spend the rest for the things we want. That way, we have a clear distribution for our monthly spending, otherwise we might end up in debt.
