Think about it this way. Say on Pewdiepie's channel where he has thousands of people commenting on everyone of his videos. What if half those people were anonymous. then you wanted to reply to one of those anonymous people, you can't because you'd be talking to thousands of people and none of them knowing who you are talking to. Then there is always the profit that YouTube makes by every person signing up for YouTube so unless you want to have no YouTube I think it should stay the way it is.
It is, you tube will put people off by making them have a you tube account, so therefore people won't bother with suing you tube again.
