Jesus is eternal. But his body was killed, then resurrected.
and a happy Saturnalia to you.
it is certainly a celebration. it is just one that no longer has very much to do with religion. it has become a secular holiday. lots of religious people continue to focus on the religious aspects, but mostly it's just about materialism now.
Regardless, it is a celebration.
your point is? Christ was born in the summer. the 25th of December has nothing to do with his birth. it is a holiday where people buy lots of stuff. but that really isn't the point of this debate.
christmas= 'christ' + mas. it has christ in it.
since Jesus was born in the summer, Christmas doesn't really have that much to do with Christ any more. it's mostly about buying things now.
comeon. i didnt mean that you cant celebrate christmas. i am eager to know your opinion.
if you dont believe he existed, why are you celebrating christmas then?
it's possible he never existed in the first place. there is no credible proof that Jesus was any different than the other dozen "Messiahs" walking around the middle East at the same time Jesus supposedly did.
