I think keeping enemies closer is one of the ways to stop the hostility. However, you should still be careful of your enemies because they can trap you. In politics, it is called coalition. Some organizations or political parties create a coalition to be better than the others. Maybe, ‘’keeping your enemies closer” really works for politicians.
