If there is nothing good or bad, then should everything be allowed? Shouldn't there be laws?
I think you forget the fact other animals arent like you or any other human, stop treating them so
people keep saying it's bad or good but that's an opinion not a fact. this is defenetly very different to what many people believe but if you ask me but there is no such thing as bad or good.
I thought that if the cows knew they were going to be killed they would not be so calm. They don't seem to suffer much
Yes. That is what morality is for, to know what we should do and what not. If you don't agree tell me your definition of bad
it is impossible to know what a cow understands, but why do you claim they don't? cows are mammals just like us and most certainly have the associated brain structures. i guess it probably depends on the farmer and how well he hides it.
So everything unethical should be outlawed?
I think the definition of bad is "what should not be allowed", therefore the fact that killing should not be legal means that killing is bad
So it's bad to make it legal, but not bad to actually do kill if the person doesn't expect it?
if killing while sleeping was allowed, we would live in fear of being killed when we fall asleep, that's why it's bad
Do the cows know that they are being raised to eat them?
I only disagree because if you kill an animal it doesn't follow that you're insane, or irrational.
Killing animals is how our ancestors survived. Was it bad? Maybe. But it's not insane to follow the norms established generations ago. They still benefit us.
It's almost symbiotic. As resources they improve our quality of life, so we help them reproduce far more than they would in the wild. If the animals never suffer then I have no issues.
If fear makes killing bad, then killing before someone fears death is not bad. But if I murder you in your sleep I am still doing an evil act. So there is more to it than fear.
how do you know the animals do not live in fear? because they are accustomed to this situation they were born into and have zero power to change?
if humans were born into a world where they are cattle to vampires, do you think every single one would be traumatized in a corner? even after generations of breeding?
the animals are not aware that they are going to be killed. If it were legal to kill humans, we would live in fear of being killed. Animals don't even know it's legal to kill them. So killing humans is worse than killing animals
I like to eat humans there are lots of humans outside, is it okay if I utilize the resource and eat one.
Is it insane to only see their value as resources?
