I would argue that marijuana is fine for recreational by any adult. There are few studies which have demonstrated greatly diminishing effects upon the cognition of adults who use it regularly. In my personal experience, having spent my youth without any alcohol or marijuana (yet plenty of LAN parties) I found many problems emotionally and cognitively I faced as a teen were less prominent while high. If it can't kill you, it won't damage you and it might improve you, it should be legalized recreationally.
And of course it should be illegal for kids to smoke. But it being recreationally illegal makes it easier to get for kids than alcohol. The LCBO doesn't sell to kids; the local drug dealer doesn't care. Liscenced dealers can reduce the amount of pot smoked by kids, recreational marijuana can increase the quality of life for many at virtually no cost excpet an offense to old, irrational and politically motivated taboos.
Marijuana should only be allowed for medical purposes. Legalising must be equipped with the right purposes and should not be abused once it is legalised.
Depends how you use it. For medical reasons or just for the hype of it.
