Millennial have certain advantages that Boomers often see as things they never got. Like having tons of access to technology, the internet etc. They see the job market evolving in a way that it simply didn't do for them, things like telecommuting, flexible schedules etc. These are things that more millennials want so businesses are adapting to offer it.
But they usually don't understand or willfully ignore all the problems millennials have that they never did. A boomer could graduate high school and get directly into a decent paying job. before they are 30 they could be making great money and have a house. For millennials that is almost impossible. Most well paying jobs require years of school and 10's of thousands in education costs. And then to buy a house you need 30-40 thousand for a down payment, minimum, alot more in a city. So for many millennials, a house is something they will never be able to own at all.
Wages have been stagnant for like a decade while the cost of living has been steadily rising, so it is very difficult for millennials to save. This often ends up with them living with family members because it is the only way to afford to live. Boomers see that as being spoiled and not being capable of being independent.
can someone who agrees give a reason why they doo???
whenever i see someone hating on millenials i ask them if they are boomers. they quickly go on the defensive as boomers comes with few positive connotations.
the spoiled and sheltered generation shouldn't throw rocks when they live in glass houses.
not hating on boomers in general, i try not to generalize. but it helps to show people who try to generalize others their own generalized stereotypes.
Well Millennials inherited a big mess of a world left to them by boomers making foolhardy political decisions over the years. It's us Millennials that now have to fix the world's problems such as a failing economy, polution, insufficient energy, drug wars, worldwide terrorism, ...etc. Millennials can't afford shit and have to think of new creative ways to save money.
