Child stars work more hours than the labor law dictates - if you read it there are limitations due to school requirements, etc. The money should be in a trust, overseen by a committee or bank NOT the parents. The money could be allotted for household expenses if the child's career prevents the parents from traditional work, but it should not be at their disposal to waste.
