how would we end it quickly? would the people support a large scale boots on the ground with large investment and potential for casualties? I doubt it.
carpet bombing the area would be easy, but I dont think we'd do that, although that was a big selling point in the GOP debate.
i don't think it's that easy without walking into a mine field that could bite us back hard. leading from behind is the way to go in other region conflicts.
That is a good point, but I think if we really wanted to win and just end it quickly, we could.
I dont have an opinion on who will win, but being the small, energized, local force with everything to lose has shown to be a receipe for success.
it's not like they are facing the full US army, or even the Saudi. and guerilla warfare on home turf is very effective.
I don't see how that could ever be possible considering Yemen has a population of 28 million (almost 300 million less than the US pop), and a military consisting of only 43,500 personnel (while the US military is almost 2.1 million strong).
