i find that a genius idea. many problems escelate, that could have been otherwise avoided, had cops held higher respect and trust among the citizens. if there are more ways to get cops involved in the community beneficially, while earning trust and respect, alot of unecessary conflicts could be discarded.
I agree on every point. Body cameras are a fantastic idea because they give an unbiased account of what happened and better training could help teach skills to deescalate conflict so that lethal force is not needed. I think we also need to start doing more work to get communities involved in the policing process since if someone sees the police as the enemy, the system breaks down. Police need to work with the communities, not just patrol through them. I know that will be a long, hard fight to change the perception and I don't even know if it is completely possible, but if we don't try the cycle will just continue.
Yes body cameras are good 100% but then you have the police officers who are being murdered over the whole conflict of racism. but what are happening to those people who are killing those innocent cops? you get more bad cops trying to stick up for the good cops and therefore it results into the petty stuff.... but I do realize that there is such thing as police brutality but out of the many cops who protect and serve their name.... what's happening to them? they are being murdered
yes i agree the majority of cops uphold the law and peace. but i think there should be more precautions to the recruitment of police and more counter measures against abusive behavior. i agree with the body cameras they are wearing.
5 out of how many police across the USA? Yes there is a problem that needs to be addressed, but keep in mind that it is a minority of police officers who are the problem. The vast majority are honest, hardworking people trying to do their jobs and keep people safe.
i dont think you understand. over the past couple years many incidents have aroused due to cops killimg black people over petty stuff, and illegally. there have been five incidents that i KNOW about. not all cops are bad, but there does seem to be a problem
