While I agree with the sentiment that education is so much more complex these days that 5 day weeks are more suited to preparing students, it's not the argument I'm gonna make. I think if for no other reason, a 5 day school week is more practical for most families. Most families require a two income household, meaning that the parents would have to provide child care for often multiple children. This places extra financial strain on struggling families which may force them to leave their children at home alone (facing possible legal consequences) or at the very least preventing parents from establishing things like college funds, becoming homeowners, etc....
The 5 day school week isn't all about the student.
no it is certainly not true that we get education only in school. but school gives us the basic platform. we have experienced ppl present there who helps us to brush our skills and teach. they are the ones we should look forward to. and hence school is very important in this era. and the number of days should not be reduced
Don't you think it is not only in school that we gain education?
I agree that this isn't a good idea.
First consider that the schools would have to make up for the days students don't go to school so the school year would be longer and summers would be shorter.
Secondly the more time students are away from school the more difficult it will be to remember the things they've learned.
this should not be the case... first of all, skul is the ultimate platform where we have fun.. memories, fun. everything. secondly, in this generation education is everything. limiting ur time in education will not help
